Our biennial members’ exhibition is returning to the Gallery Upstairs, where we will be displaying a wide range of embroideries and textiles, involving traditional and well as experimental techniques all worked in the last 2 years. Some exhibits are for sale. We look forward to welcoming you there between 10 am and 4.45 pm.
There will be a sales table with small items which make lovely gifts and a stand from Wellhead Books, to entice you to buy books related to embroidery and textiles or help you get started if you are a beginner. Members will be stewarding the exhibition and will be happy to chat and share their knowledge and experience of West Country Embroiderers
Our competition, for the Frankie Reid Bowl this year, is a piece of embroidery presented in a 20cm ring on the theme of ‘1918 - 100 years on’ created with any design or technique and members of the public will vote for the entry they like the best.
Refreshments are provided in the café below the gallery. Entry is by one flight of stairs, and there is disabled access to the upper floor using the lift in the café.
There is also the opportunity to visit the walled garden at Upton and enjoy the space and views from the country park, where the gallery is situated.
