About Us

We are a group of like-minded people from Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and Wiltshire who get together each month to enjoy exploring, learning and experimenting with hand and machine embroidery, fibres and mixed media. We hope you will enjoy looking around our site and we would welcome any new members. West Country Embroiderers was founded in 1973 originally with the aim of promoting and encouraging the skill of embroidery at all levels of ability. We have moved on from this and like to encompass all manner of textiles and needlecrafts.
